NEW YORK CIVIL PRACTICE LAW AND RULES (CPLR) New York State | For Informational Purposes Only CPLR § 1204 Compensation of guardian ad litem § 1204. Compensation of guardian ad litem. A court may allow aguardian ad litem a reasonable compensation for his services to be paidin whole or part by any other party or from any recovery had on behalfof the person whom such guardian represents or from such person's otherproperty. No order allowing compensation shall be made except on anaffidavit of the guardian or his attorney showing the services rendered.
