AJK Media, Inc., operating as Divorce.law ("we," "us," or "our"), operates a legal information, AI-powered divorce, and attorney marketing platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information collected automatically when you use our services.
Information You Provide
- Contact information (name, email address, and phone number if you provide it) when you submit a form
- Your state or province, county or region, and city when you provide them
- Search queries and filter preferences
- Information submitted in attorney inquiry forms
- Account information if you register as an attorney
AI Assistant, Roadmaps, Calculators & Resources
Conversations with Victoria, our AI assistant; information you enter to build a Personal Divorce Roadmap (such as your state/province, county or region, and details about your situation); inputs and results from our calculators; and resources or checklists you request. Victoria provides legal information, not legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. You choose what to share, including any sensitive details. We store and may review and use these interactions to operate, secure, and improve the service, as described in this policy.
Paid Products (Roadmap Plus & Pro-Se Portal)
When you purchase a paid product, such as Roadmap Plus or the Pro-Se Portal, we collect your email address and payment-related identifiers. Payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full payment card numbers. We also keep records needed to provide and secure your access — for example, your access period, an access token, and usage counts. Your conversations and the information you enter within these products are handled as described above under "AI Assistant, Roadmaps, Calculators & Resources."
Information Collected Automatically
- Log data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL)
- Device information (operating system, screen resolution)
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (with your consent)
- Approximate geolocation derived from IP address
2. How We Use Your Information

- To connect you with attorneys relevant to your search
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- To send transactional communications (e.g., form confirmations)
- To send resource guides, your Personal Divorce Roadmap, and monthly Divorce Roadmap Updates you have opted into
- To analyze usage patterns and improve user experience
- To comply with legal obligations
Email Communications & Engagement
When we send you emails — including resource guides, your Personal Divorce Roadmap, and monthly Divorce Roadmap Updates — we may collect information about how you interact with them, including whether an email was delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, unsubscribed from, or marked as spam. We use this to operate, measure, secure, and improve our communications and services. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
Your Communication Choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing and Roadmap Update emails at any time via the link in any email or by emailing privacy@divorce.law. We may still send essential transactional messages, such as confirmations or links for resources you requested.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With attorneys — only with your consent: We share your contact information and the relevant Roadmap or inquiry summary with a law firm only when you affirmatively request an attorney handoff or submit an inquiry to a specific attorney. We do not share your contact details, Roadmap facts, Victoria conversations, or calculator results with any law firm unless you have given that consent.
- Aggregate, de-identified reporting: We may share aggregate or de-identified metrics — such as subscriber counts, email impressions and engagement rates, or jurisdiction-level activity — with attorneys, sponsors, or advertisers. These reports never include your name, email, phone number, Roadmap facts, or individualized case details unless you consented to a direct attorney handoff.
- Service providers: We use third-party vendors who assist with hosting, analytics, and communications, subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of users.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Inquiry data is retained for up to 24 months. Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. You may request deletion of your personal data as described in the Your Rights section below.
