NEW YORK CIVIL PRACTICE LAW AND RULES (CPLR) New York State | For Informational Purposes Only CPLR § 1346 Duration of notice of pendency § 1346. Duration of notice of pendency. A notice of pendency shall beeffective for a period of three years from the date of filing. Beforeexpiration of a period or extended period, the court, upon motion of theclaiming authority and upon such notice as it may require, for goodcause shown, may grant an extension for a like additional period. Anextension order shall be filed, recorded and indexed before expirationof the prior period.
