NEW YORK CIVIL PRACTICE LAW AND RULES (CPLR) New York State | For Informational Purposes Only CPLR § 1351 Application of article § 1351. Application of article. If any provision of this article orthe application thereof to any person or circumstances shall be adjudgedby any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid orunconstitutional, such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidatethe remainder thereof, but shall be confined (i) in its operation of theprovision, or (ii) in its application to the person or circumstancedirectly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall havebeen rendered.
