NEW YORK CIVIL PRACTICE LAW AND RULES (CPLR) New York State | For Informational Purposes Only CPLR § 2511 Liability of surety § 2511. Liability of surety. Where two or more persons are surety onan undertaking in an action or proceeding, they shall be jointly andseverally liable. The amount recoverable from a surety shall bedetermined in accordance with the provisions of section 7-301 of thegeneral obligations law.
