NEW YORK CIVIL PRACTICE LAW AND RULES (CPLR) New York State | For Informational Purposes Only CPLR § 4505 Confidential communication to clergy privileged § 4505. Confidential communication to clergy privileged. Unless theperson confessing or confiding waives the privilege, a clergyman, orother minister of any religion or duly accredited Christian Sciencepractitioner, shall not be allowed disclose a confession or confidencemade to him in his professional character as spiritual advisor.
