NEW YORK CIVIL PRACTICE LAW AND RULES (CPLR) New York State | For Informational Purposes Only CPLR § 4512 Competency of interested witness or spouse § 4512. Competency of interested witness or spouse. Except asotherwise expressly prescribed, a person shall not be excluded orexcused from being a witness, by reason of his interest in the event orbecause he is a party or the spouse of a party.
