NEW YORK CIVIL PRACTICE LAW AND RULES (CPLR) New York State | For Informational Purposes Only CPLR § 509 Venue in county designated § 509. Venue in county designated. Notwithstanding any provision ofthis article except for rule 515, the place of trial of an action shallbe in the county designated by the plaintiff, unless the place of trialis changed to another county by order upon motion, or by consent asprovided in subdivision (b) of rule 511 of this article.
