NEW YORK CIVIL PRACTICE LAW AND RULES (CPLR) New York State | For Informational Purposes Only CPLR § 5106 Appointment of receiver § 5106. Appointment of receiver. A court, by or after judgment, mayappoint a receiver of property which is the subject of an action, tocarry the judgment into effect or to dispose of the property accordingto its directions. Unless the court otherwise orders, such areceivership shall be subject to the provisions of article sixty-four.
