NEW YORK CIVIL PRACTICE LAW AND RULES (CPLR) New York State | For Informational Purposes Only CPLR § 6513 Duration of notice of pendency § 6513. Duration of notice of pendency. A notice of pendency shall beeffective for a period of three years from the date of filing. Beforeexpiration of a period or extended period, the court, upon motion of theplaintiff and upon such notice as it may require, for good cause shown,may grant an extension for a like additional period. An extension ordershall be filed, recorded and indexed before expiration of the priorperiod.
