NEW YORK CIVIL PRACTICE LAW AND RULES (CPLR) New York State | For Informational Purposes Only CPLR § 7563 Briefs; award; decision § 7563. Briefs; award; decision. (a) The panel may order that writtenbriefs be submitted within thirty days after the close of hearings. Inwritten briefs each party may summarize the evidence and testimony andmay propose a comprehensive award of compensatory elements.(b) The panel of arbitrators shall render its decision by majorityvote and the decision shall be rendered within thirty days after theclose of the hearing or the receipt of briefs, if briefs are requested.
