NEW YORK DOMESTIC RELATIONS LAW (Chapter 14) § 19-A — Marriages on vessels; reports and records DRL § 19-A Marriages on vessels; reports and records /legislation/laws/DOM/A3 § 19-a. Marriages on vessels; reports and records. The master, chiefofficer, ship's surgeon, or the company, corporation, charterer, orperson having the management and control of any vessel which shallarrive at the port of New York, shall report, in writing, to the cityclerk of the city of New York within three days after the arrival ofsuch vessel the marriage of any resident of such city occurring thereonat sea, and shall file with such clerk a transcript of the entry made inthe log book of such vessel in respect to any such marriage.
