NEW YORK DOMESTIC RELATIONS LAW (Chapter 14) § 240-A — Judgment or decree; additional provision DRL § 240-A Judgment or decree; additional provision ARTICLE 13 Provisions Applicable to More Than One Type of Matrimonial Action § 240-a. Judgment or decree; additional provision. In any action orproceeding brought under the provisions of this chapter wherein all orpart of the relief granted is divorce or annulment of a marriage anyinterlocutory or final judgment or decree shall contain, as a partthereof, the social security numbers of the named parties in the actionor proceeding, as well as a provision that each party may resume the useof his or her premarriage surname or any other former surname.
