NEW YORK DOMESTIC RELATIONS LAW (Chapter 14) § 241 — Interference with or withholding of visitation rig DRL § 241 Interference with or withholding of visitation rights; alimonyor maintenance suspension ARTICLE 13 Provisions Applicable to More Than One Type of Matrimonial Action § 241. Interference with or withholding of visitation rights; alimonyor maintenance suspension. When it appears to the satisfaction of thecourt that a custodial parent receiving alimony or maintenance pursuantto an order, judgment or decree of a court of competent jurisdiction haswrongfully interfered with or withheld visitation rights provided bysuch order, judgment or decree, the court, in its discretion, maysuspend such payments or cancel any arrears that may have accrued duringthe time that visitation rights have been or are being interfered withor withheld. Nothing in this section shall constitute a defense in anycourt to an application to enforce payment of child support or groundsfor the cancellation of arrears for child support.
