Whenever in this chapter anyreference is made to the children's court act of the State of New York,the children's court or a judge thereof, or to the domestic relationscourt act of the city of New York, the domestic relations court of thecity of New York or a justice thereof, such reference shall, on andafter the effective date of legislation implementing the establishmentof the family court, the officers thereof, and prescribing its powersand duties, be deemed to refer, respectively, to such legislation, thefamily court or a judge thereof, as the case may be, to the extent thatsuch references may be made applicable.
