**N.Y. Fam. Ct. Act § 581-406. Parentage under compliant surrogacy agreement.** Upon the birth of a child conceived by assisted reproduction under a surrogacy agreement that complies with this part, each intended parent is, by operation of law, a parent of the child and neither the person acting as surrogate nor the person's spouse, if applicable, is a parent of the child.
