# 19-11-57. When respondent's arrest authorized. (a) When a court of this state, acting as an initiating state, has reason to believe that the respondent may flee the jurisdiction, it may request in its certificate that the court of the responding state obtain the body of the respondent by appropriate process, if that is permissible under the law of the responding state. (b) When a court of this state, acting as a responding state, has reason to believe that the respondent may flee the jurisdiction, it may obtain the body of the respondent by appropriate process. ## History Ga.
