# 19-13-76. [Effective July 1, 2026] Confidentiality; disclosure requirements. (a) No information shared by a victim within a Family Justice Center shall be disclosed without the informed, written consent of such victim, except as where required by law or court order. (b) Each partner and each participating agency shall comply with all applicable state and federal confidentiality requirements. (c) Nothing in this article shall be construed to exempt or relieve any partner or participating agency, employee, or volunteer of a Family Justice Center from the duty to report known or suspected abuse or neglect as required by law. All personnel operating within or affiliated with a Family Justice Center shall comply with the reporting requirement laws of this state, including but not limited to Code Section 19-7-5, Code Section 30-5-4, and any other applicable provisions of law. (d) When a report is contemplated by subsection (c) of this Code section, the reporting party shall limit disclosure to information necessary to satisfy the reporting obligation and shall otherwise maintain the confidentiality of the victim and case information to the extent permitted by law. (e) The council may issue guidance and training standards to ensure consistent application of confidentiality and reporting requirements across all Family Justice Centers operating under this article. ## History Code 1981, § 19-13-76, enacted by Ga.
