**Tex. Fam. Code § 157.551. CIVIL PENALTY FOR INTERFERENCE WITH CHILD CUSTODY ORDER.** A municipality or county in this state may adopt an ordinance or order that imposes a civil penalty of not more than $500 for engaging in conduct described by Section 25.03, Penal Code. Added by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 810 (H.B. 969), Sec. 1, eff. September 1, 2023.
