**Tex. Fam. Code § 160.104. AUTHORIZED COURTS.** The following courts are authorized to adjudicate parentage under this chapter: (1) a court with jurisdiction to hear a suit affecting the parent-child relationship under this title; or (2) a court with jurisdiction to adjudicate parentage under another law of this state. Amended by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 821, Sec. 1.01, eff. June 14, 2001.
