**Tex. Fam. Code § 2.301. FRAUD, MISTAKE, OR ILLEGALITY IN OBTAINING LICENSE.** Except as otherwise provided by this chapter, the validity of a marriage is not affected by any fraud, mistake, or illegality that occurred in obtaining the marriage license. Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 7, Sec. 1, eff. April 17, 1997.
