**Tex. Fam. Code § 4.009. APPLICATION AND CONSTRUCTION.** This subchapter shall be applied and construed to effect its general purpose to make uniform the law with respect to the subject of this subchapter among states enacting these provisions. Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 7, Sec. 1, eff. April 17, 1997.
