**Tex. Fam. Code § 71.007. PROSECUTING ATTORNEY.** "Prosecuting attorney" means the attorney, determined as provided in this title, who represents the state in a district or statutory county court in the county in which venue of the application for a protective order is proper. Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 34, Sec. 1, eff. May 5, 1997.
